Raspberry and banana smoothie

 


Fruit is a rich source of vitamins and minerals - not to mention the fact that it tastes great! 


Ingredients

  • 80g / 3 oz. of fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 1 medium banana
  • 62g / 2 oz. of low-fat natural yogurt
  • 90ml / 3 fl oz. of semi-skimmed milk
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 90ml / 3 fl oz. of unsweetened orange juice

Method

  1. If using frozen raspberries, boil them for 1 minute.
  2. If using fresh raspberries wash them under a running cold tap
  3. Peel the banana
  4. Make sure all the ingredients are chilled before use
  5. Blend fruit, yoghurt, milk and juice together using a hand held blender or a smoothie maker until creamy
  6. Add ice cubes and blend again
  7. Pour into two glasses and serve immediately
